Combichrist fan here... saw them last month in concert, 'twas awesome.

5. "The Baby-Sitters' Club"...oh, gosh, how I loved those books.

42. I feel exactly the same way.

25. Hey, it would have made me look. XD

34. I do that too!

I believe that's Wild Adapter, not Saiyuki.

Oh, the art looks the same. My mistake, then!

It's by the same mangaka, if I am remembering correctly, so no wonder.

5. Oh man, did we go to highschool together? I had a friend who was smitten with Janine. I have to admit, I thought Claudia was pretty awesome when I was little. She was my hero, although I think it was only because she dressed cool. I even had her doll. I also remember that I never liked Karen. :/

17. Agreed. I find canon fic tiresome sometimes. Nothing makes me happier than stumbling across a good, creative AU. It's always a nice treat. <3

39. Oh man, I agree so hard. I wouldn't know about 95% of the artists I listen to if it wasn't for downloading on the internet, and I can't imagine living without my music. Also, on that note -- I just got Netflix and that is such a breath of fresh air. Blockbuster never has any of the world cinema I want to see (I say world cinema and I sound very fancy. Sorry, I just want to watch a lot of Bollywood. XD)

42. I agree with this one, too, although I hate to admit it. I guess I've just been conditioned to think that way somehow. It's like on the rest of the internet, people are shocked if there's a GIRL, but in fandom, I'm like "WTF, a dude is in here?? Is he a spy?"

Also...

21. WHY, UNCLE PETE!???? WHY!??? ._________.

[identity profile] ipodsr2big.livejournal.com 2007-10-05 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
21. What book is this??? I am curious beyond belief.

(Anonymous) 2007-10-05 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
42. I do the same thing and I'm usually right.

A sequel?! What?!

LOL How could one not?! Cookie was the best :)

[identity profile] savioto.livejournal.com 2007-10-05 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
10. ME TOO.

...And I kind of have a feeling I know who you are. I'm probably wrong, though.

21. what the fuck what book is this and why does it seem so familiar

41. This might be the reason, for some people at least. I still like it, but I stopped being quite as obsessed with slash now that I'm actually in a relationship.

42. I DO THIS TOO. Even though I'm a guy?

[identity profile] atelierlune.livejournal.com 2007-10-05 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
27. Genshiken is love, forever and ever and ever.

39. It's a beautiful thing, isn't it?

41. I'm not quick to agree, but I think your theory is valid. (ITYTIV?)

42. I do that too... but I try to keep reminding myself that the person I'm talking to or reading could be one just as easily as the other.

[identity profile] ew-younerd.livejournal.com 2007-10-05 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
6. I want to hug you D: And yes. YAY FOR AWESOMEST RELATIONSHIP EVER

11. I AWE:KAWLekwe waej I have nothing to contribute outside of LOCKE LOCKE LOCKE ♥

[identity profile] slatterly.livejournal.com 2007-10-05 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
37. I LIKE THIS SECRET BECAUSE IT HAS RON RIFKIN IN IT <3

(Anonymous) 2007-10-05 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
How was she vindicated in DH? It's still nonsense. Nothing she said makes any more sense within canon now than it ever did. She is one of the most batshit fens in the HP fandom, bar none.

Lysette's four most recent posts on HP_cornfield for those unfamiliar with her crazy:
http://www.journalfen.net/community/hp_cornfield/22392.html

http://www.journalfen.net/community/hp_cornfield/26524.html

http://www.journalfen.net/community/hp_cornfield/27343.html

http://www.journalfen.net/community/hp_cornfield/19848.html

And check out her sig line on the forums: Best part of Deathly Horribles is that one month after it came out, you couldn't find the New HP Movie playing in ANY THEATER around here. Yippieeee!!!!! DH Tanked OotP, the Movie.

LMAO. Yeah almost one billion dollars worldwide. What a bomb!

7. I'M SORRY BUT WHAT THE HELL

10. Same here.

16. Kinda agree. Het. manga with gay subtext - can do. Yaoi manga - can't.

21. Is that pic from the story where you stop being gay by wishing it away? C:

25. skipping to conclusions makes me :(

28. Confidentiality is dead.

34. Guilty as charged.

38. PFFT HELL YEAH

41. Despite the use of "we" this still sounds like an attack on slash fans.

(Anonymous) 2007-10-05 02:30 am (UTC)(link)
19. I WISH TO BE COLBERT BECAUSE HE'S FUCKING AWESOME.

21. lol what

24. NO, CUTTING IS BAD FOR YOU.

10. Oh god, me too. And Neopets not only got me into the internet in general, it's also responsible for getting me into RPing, which... well, I have no idea what I'd do with myself all day if I didn't RP. So yeah, although I haven't been on Neopets in years now, it wouldn't be exaggerating to say that the site changed my life. And it's just a silly virtual pet site.

13. IAWTS. I so wish she could have gone with him after all. Although it seems weird to me to call them "David/Billie shippers" rather than "Ten/Rose shippers." Unless you're talking about RPF, which it doesn't really seem like you are. Uh. Go go random pointless nitpicking?

16. YES. I infinitely prefer series with slashy subtext to outright BL series. Though I'm really more of a shoujo-ai fan... even then, though, I prefer the subtexty series to the... texty ones. (They're not as bad as BL series, on the whole, but I swear to god, every single shoujo-ai series -- and some that aren't even technicallly shoujo-ai, just heavily implied -- begins the exact same way. It's like they haven't had a new idea since Oniisama E.)

42. Me too! Although it sort of depends on what corner of the internet you're in. Fandom in general, particularly the part that's on LJ, seems to be primarily female, but there are other sites where most of the members are guys.

I have this lovely little thing called a keloid scar. In comparison to many people's keloid scars, mine is not so horrible. Still, it's raised and inconveniently placed and puts a cramp on a few aspects of my life. It is not awesome and I get pretty annoyed with people who think that scars are cool. Most of the people living with those scars would beg to differ.
