And if you think no one ever mocked you for being really into something before... I think you just missed it. Because that's that little thing about nerds being nerdy. I don't know why people are sometimes so surprised that there are nerds who want to be the coolest and least dorky nerd out there, but that's just how things are. Just because they weren't the coolest kids in highschool doesn't mean they're not going to pick on the people they see as below them in the pecking order. It's just more behind people's backs on LJ than it is on places like 4chan.
