Anyhow, yes. That's perfectly understandable, I think. D: Especially the head-thumping and whatnot. That must get old fast, especially with how much attention Death Note seems to get... and will be getting, once the Adult Swim thing happens. BUT BE STRONG. SOONER OR LATER, they'll either shut the fuck up or, more likely, they'll find something else to obsess over that's equally if not more annoying, but at least.... I'll just stop there before my cynicism makes this any worse, how about that? \o/ ♥

I don't even know what to say to you.

A friend of mine once said that being in Japan was like being in love with a charming, charismatic drunk. The good times are amazing but the bad times are so, so bad, and no matter how much you'll want them to change, they never will. Not for you, and not for me.

I lived in Japan for two years; two of the worst and best years of my life. Everything good you think or imagine about it is roughly true. The downside: Just think of all those times you're never taken seriously or valued where you are. Then multiply that by ten. Then add in the fact that you'll never truly hate it, because it's so, so beautiful, so much beauty everywhere.

I'm glad I'm not there anymore, yet I'm always looking for that opportunity to go back.

Oh Japan. I wish I could quit you.

Hate to break it to you, but you're not the only fan. I know of at least two others, besides myself, who love this series like crazy.

Even though I don't excuse Light's actions, the more I think about it, the more I see him as a tragic figure.

Everyone I know who's seen it/I've shown it to loved it but ask your average anime fan and they've never heard of it.

... I think Gawl fans just tend to be very quiet about it. I've come across quite a few people who love the series but there just doesn't seem to be a very active fandom for it.

IAWTC. Gawl's really one of those hidden anime gems. Unfortunately that doesn't help much when you're trying to find other Gawl fans.

I like to think that it's because the series was a bit short, but so tight and written so well and wrapped up so neatly, there just isn't anything left to say after seeing it.

Sort of like a very satisfying meal.

I'M WITH YOU ON THIS. I've always loved that pairing, always loved Squall, and always loved Rinoa, no matter how much people like to bash her.
