He is an egotistical asshat-- actually, that term is far too mild. Um. Egomaniacal doucheface? Same thing, essentially, but yeah. I think it's possible to enjoy a series while still hating the main character, but. All depends on the circumstances. |D;; I wouldn't worry so much about how your friends'll react to you saying you hate him, though-- I mean, I happen to like Light, but his asshattery is kind of freaking hard to ignore. It's actually one of the reasons why I like him-- HE'S INTERESTING IN A SOCIOPATHIC, CRAZY BASTARD KINDA WAY, OKAY D:-- but that could just be me.
