It's really irritating when people can't understand the impact that a fictional series (especially anime and manga, because of the stereotypes non-fans tend to have) can make on a person. Fiction exists to teach us something with a story and a set of characters--to not let fiction affect you in some way is to ignore the entire point of telling a story.
I'm glad other people are almost entirely attracted to 2D characters, too. I like the occasional seiyuu or whatever, but for the most part... anime guys all the way!
