yes, it's not necessarily deeper or better or more artistically valid than western pop music. no, it's not vapid or stupid or unintelligent or worthless. it's pop music, and a lot of it is extremely well-made pop music. i mean, if you don't like it that's your call, but it's not "vapid" or "worthless". just because something is pop music, that does not mean that it's worthless.
