I like Monty Python, but not to the extent that a lot of my friends do. It used to make me embarrassed as a teenager because I thought that meant that I didn't have good enough taste in comedy, but I've learned since then that humour really is subjective.
Although one day, we finally got the BBC channel on our TV and lo and behold, I discovered Blackadder and a bunch of other British sitcoms and I had found my British humour niche.
