Clarifying what you are even talking about is NOT too much to ask. If you say, 'Hollywood movies', it's one additional word and I won't assume in error that you don't even know that other countries make movies too or think they are all too shitty for your refined tastes, or too difficult to watch or whatever which are all not too uncommon opinions that are out there. I swear, only US Americans expect you to intuit or look up who the fuck they are and where they live as soon as you happen to stumble over their writing on tumblr. And even if it's clear you're from the US it's still easy to assume that you mean ALL MOVIES if you say 'movies'.
