7. On a sort of off-topic note, am I the only one that thinks "YuRiPa" is a lot cuter than "YRP"? Romanization aside, anyway.

12. I LOVE playing normal characters. It's more challenging and more focused on development instead of being special. Yay for normal. *waves flag*

Nope! The whole "WOEEEE D:" thing and referring to overblown angst and drama as "WOES D:". Started using it, and then it exploded! :D

[identity profile] wyna-hiros.livejournal.com 2007-01-29 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
OH, THOSE.

(Anonymous) 2007-01-29 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah! Funny thing was, it started off as a derogatory mocking type thing in a roleplay, with my character ignoring and responding with "WOEEE D: GO WOE YOURSELF TO DEATH WOEMUFFIN D: D: D:" at anyone that angsted at him. :D

And now people are using it in supposed-to-be-neutral things like "Yesterday, I had a lot of woes" and every time I see that, I think it's funny as hell. WOE D:

9. Since when has Trauma Center become a popular fandom? I haven't met another Trauma Center fan yet~! :O

[identity profile] la-vamp.livejournal.com 2007-01-29 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
5. I agree. I'm so tired of hearing a bunch of Mary-Sue accusations being thrown around.

(Anonymous) 2007-01-29 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Are you really?

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-01-29 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
I'm a big Samurai Warriors fan. I'm more than happy to answer any questions the secret-maker has.

(Anonymous) 2007-01-29 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Okay. What is it about? It's impossible to find the game here.

[identity profile] zhoutaisdayoff.livejournal.com 2007-01-29 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
It's a slightly AUish retelling of the Age of Warring States of Japan. The variations come with each person's story mode. You can play the game as one of the greatest historical figures of the time, like Takeda Shingen, Uesugi Kenshin or Oda Nobunaga. (though Toyotomi Hideyoshi doesn't become playable until you pick up Samurai Warriors XTreme Legends or Samurai Warriors 2, and Tokugawa Ieyasu isn't playable in the first and Xtreme Legends, but he is a playable character in SW2)

5. Agreed. I hate how any girl with personality gets labeled as a Mary Sue.

9. Hmm...I admit to getting too wound up into certain fandoms that I tend to overlook my friends who haven't played the game/watched the anime. But if your friends are only interested in talking about fandom-related things, then you might be better off cutting them.

(Anonymous) 2007-01-29 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
Glad you agree, but..... I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT A MARY SUE IS!!!!!!!

People have different perceptions of personality I know, but Miaka as a character was a pretty bad one. Everyone falling for her, everyone wanting to sex her up. Hmm, gee. Where have I seen that before. Oh right, Mary Sue fanfiction.

The series was a pretty good one, they just made their leading lady a total despie.

10. I'd really love to know who this was about. The player in me wishes to avoid contact at all costs.

11. Word.

12. I feel that way all the time. I'm in this game where everyone's a vampire/werewolf/frankenstein/catgirl hybrid and I'm the only one playing a human with no powers. :(

*checks* KNEWIT.

[identity profile] dope-hat.livejournal.com 2007-01-29 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Trauma Center! I'm just sorta stuck on it right now .___.;;

[identity profile] happy-cupcake.livejournal.com 2007-01-29 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Trust me, I feel your pain. I'm on the last level before the X levels and I'm just like T_T

I just never realized that other people have played it too O.O

(Anonymous) 2008-02-20 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
11. Maybe those people just liked the sketchy version better than the cleaned-up, computer-colored version. I do, anyway, even with my RL friend Sarah's artwork, I prefer her sketches to her finished pieces. I just think they look better.

11. I can't speak for others, but I like most sketches better than I like the finished products, especially if they're finished digitally. The pencil sketches just look better. Of course, I don't know who you are or what you draw, but in general... sketches are awesome!
