I planned to make her an extra present, but realised too late that my materials weren't good enough, so I'm left with a generic box of Celebrations chocolates for a sixteen year old girl. I see her first thing tomorrow so I can't go emergency shopping and I've bought her brother an actual present, otherwise I'd just plead poverty. I could give her £10 as well, but I'm so strapped for cash that doing that would genuinely leave me in trouble when it comes to food later in the year. Or I could give her one of my unread books, but she's not a big reader... The computer games would not fly!
