IA, at least from what I've heard she sounds like she fits into the universe quite well. I can understand if people don't like the romance part of it, but I DO like interspecies relationships in fantasy and Tolkien already made a big deal of Legolas and Gimli, so even the elf/dwarf thing doesn't feel particularly new.
Haha, I've seen lots of mixed reactions to Radagast. I don't have much love for the film version either. I don't HATE him and I get where PJ was going with him (Hobbit was a children's book and all, PJ wanted more humor), but... I just don't really care for his scenes or the way they portray him.
