And having BNF status really wouldn't help your case, you'd probably just get even more flak in the long run. The problem is you see a lot of ass kissing fans out there who will defend people regardless of what charges are laid against them. I had a fanart of mine blatantly traced and presented as an original piece and then once it was out that the girl had traced it you still had people defending her and in the end I was the heinous bitch because I cared.
