3. Well, My opinion is just don't care, or cosplay charas with clothes that could look good on you. I'm a shortie myself but I like to cosplay (though I admit I looked horrible as Meer, that kind of dress really is for girls with loooooong legs), and I don't think people shouldn't do something they like for things like weight, or height :( So, just do it, I'm sure you'll look good! Why not try with a know shortie, like, Ed from FMA? XD;

3. A lot of cosplayers are short. If you really want to try it, I wouldn't let height stop you.

7. I've found that most communities that find amusement in ranting, bashing, laughing at other people really aren't that funny and people who frequent them make me a little queasy.

12. While I don't like most fangirls, that's a really sorry reason to end friendships. However, I'm thankfully friends with people who have lives and careers and interests outside fandom.

Ehhhhh? I don't normally comment on secrets that I disagree with, I tend to breeze on by, but this is a little weird to me. I could accept the rest of it neat enough, but what the heck is 'I was embarrassed to be seen with her, she didn't dress right'. Um? I get that that's not the whole reason you stopped being friends, but still, that reads really unfavourably to me. Not really mark of someone worth having as a friend in the first place :x

Or maybe I'm just revealing my own total disconnection from trends and fashion and what counts as looking good these days. Dang~

Especially the whole 'it consumed their life' thing. I did the same thing- these people, do they realize that they fail at integrating with society? It's okay to not be exactly like everyone else, but when you alienate people just by being disinterested in anything but what you like, that's not 'original' or 'zany', that's 'antisocial' and 'narcissitic'.
And I get what you mean about not knowing how to dress- you don't mean their skirts didn't match their sweaters, you meant something more along the lines of 'they wore pieces of non-hemmed cloth clothespinned together and thought it was a skirt', right?
We can be bad people together.

A lot of people that I know like anime and are "fangirls" online keep it completely separate from their normal lives. Myself included. I won't even talk about it in public because of people like you. I keep it all online unless someone goes out of their way to actually start a conversation about it. Not all of us have terrible fashion sense, either. And a lot of us integrate perfectly into society.

I think you're thinking about the "rabid, brainless" fangirl.

15. I know that one of my biggest reasons is that I don't think people will like my journal. I've got a "journal" personality and a "community" personality. On my journal, I talk about my life a lot more and in communities, I obviously talk about the community topics. I would think that lots of other people would have this or similar reasons. But, the whole stalking thing is a little creepy.

3. Don't let height stop you. :) *giggles* >>; I'm 4'10" and that's my height. I will not be growing any taller...I joke around and say I'm a 'chibi' for most of the characters I play, which I adopted after my first convention because some adult said, "Oooh...it's a Chibi Yomiko!" And most of the characters I cosplay are at least 5 feet tall.

I'm... naturally shy. And I don't think that my journal--or me in general--is really all that interesting. 1. I'm the same way. ._. Not like... with pairings I dislike, but with pairings I HATE for characterization reasons? Yeah. (Or if they hate pairings I adore. ._. I mean, usually I don't, but... for particular pairings.) I have strong feelings about particular FMA pairings for some reason, so... that's usually when it happens.

7. It's not the 4chan shit that gets me. It's the fact that they feel above EVERYTHING. Like, it's okay to make fun of ridiculous wank, but like... when some people were making fun of the players for "whining" about an ENTIRE RP COMM AND ALL THE LOGS GETTING DELETED BY MODS WITHOUT WARNING?
