Which language are you watching it in? If you can't find it in Japanese, try it in French, because one of the creators is French and it was a huuuuuuuge hit in France back in the day.

One of my colleagues has a kid named Esteban. I have strong doubts about the origins of that name. And every time I hear his name, I think "aahhh, ahhhahaha, Esteban Zia, Tao les cités d'ooooor".

I'm actually watching it with the English dub on Amazon Prime. And like. Wow. I think if I'd watched it when I was a kid I'd be able to appreciate it more now.

I have vague memories of this show! I only remember the theme song...and I got the dub considering I grew up in late 80s/early 90s UK. For years I thought it was one of those things I made up so I'm glad that the power of Google confirmed that yes, this show actually existed. I've not watched it since however.

Which dub...? There were plenty, y'know! I've seen it in Japanese, French, and Swedish, and I think they all hold up nicely -- so, if you can, give those a try instead!

Haha, you are the opposite of me, anon. I vaguely remembered this from my childhood (...I'm pretty sure I watched it in French. Which I only kind of understood), and decided to watch it through and thought it was remarkably hella awesome, even if the English dubbing was a bit dopey.

Also I fucking love the 80s synth. 80s synth forever, man.

Man, I loved this show so much as a kid. It was on Nickelodeon, I think, and they'd just cycle through the series over and over so if you missed an episode, you'd get a chance to see it the next time 'round, unlike Spartacus Spartakus, which never seemed to be in order and didn't make a lick of sense anyway.
