I was just at Wondercon last weekend, and the most stand-out bit was getting to meet Kelly Sue DeConnick and taking a duckface selfie with her. I also hit up nearly all of her panels, and she's hilarious and awesome in person.

Separately, I did a Kate Bishop Hawkeye costume, which lead to there being a bow in our hotel room, and that + copious amounts of alcohol lead to what was basically a Hawkeye-initiative-off with everyone in our con group. I knew my boyfriend was super-bendy, but another male friend was also surprisingly good at the boobs and butt pose.

i've been to a few cons and i love them but that is a super broad topic idk if i could just pic one or two stories

i go to fan expo every year, this up coming one will be my 4th time going, i love it. i dress up every day and it's lots of fun, and i love meeting people in the lines.

There was a creepy guy in a leather jacket who kept going up to ask my cosplaying friends for photos and while taking it would be all "I AM YOUR MASTER BOW BEFORE ME" and it was weird, we kept giving him odd looks and started avoiding him.

Also I didn't buy that movie prop and I should have and going against this year just in case more of them are there (dino skulllll)

When I was about 15 I was hit on by a thirty something at a convention. Creepy neckbeard later found me online.

When I was about 14 I went to my first convention and dressed up as Lina Inverse with a bunch of clothes from Goodwill and a bad dye job and I ran around hugging my favorite characters and dancing with people and buying stuff from the vendors room and u gaiz it was the bestest moment in time evar. Seriously, nothing will ever top that con.

When I was...22? 23? Early twenties, I went to a con and got shitfaced. I ended up making out with some random girl and stumbling around the hotel in a miniskirt. To this day my friend likes to tell the story of how she was in an elevator. The doors opened and there I was: half naked and making out/spanking some girl. Then the doors closed. I have epic con parties.

A couple of other cons ended with me passed out in a bathtub with a towel thrown over me. Good times, good times.

The best convention story I have is the time I was stuck in an elevator with Armin Shimmerman. He was awesome and nice and it was an interesting experience.

The worst experience I have is at the Dragoncon parade a few times where people have wanted to take pictures of the group I'm with and asked me to step out of the picture. I guess I wasn't attractive enough for them.

Ouch!

If it makes you feel any better, they may have wanted their favourite characters in the shot, so maybe you were cosplaying a character they didn't know or like?

Well, both times it happened they wanted everyone dressed in characters of the particular fandom (Harry Potter) except me. Admittedly I was dressed as Bellatrix, but there were people dressed as other villains.

There was a person at my first con who spent the entire three days in a Sailor Pyramid Head cosplay. Indeed, googling "sailor pyramid head cosplay" appears to bring up that exact cosplayer as the first result (the background is distinctive). There was also a guy holding a sign that said "SMILE IF YOU MASTURBATE", and looking around the room one saw a lot of people smiling as they read it and then very quickly forcing themselves to not.
