Quite a lot of people say the same. That pairing certainly has some...very vocal fans with a one-track mind, to put it politely. I got turned off by all the fans that are so insistent about it being/wanting it to be canon.

I liked that they were trying to make it happen. If they succeeded that would have been really impressive, because I always thought that the writers were never gonna make it canon. Well, and I ship it too. But yeah, it was pretty crazy. I think now that everybody realizes it's not gonna happen the loudest ones calmed down or left fandom.

Oh shit, the campaigns. Pretty much anytime a pairing is like: let's hassle the creators by sending them shit! THEY WILL LOVE IT AND IT WILL SURELY ACCOMPLISH OUR GOALS!.... I am out.

Those campaigns are so annoying, though I see them just as much from Dean/Sam people or gen people. Really, these actors and characters don't need to win every single poll ever. It gets really irritating, especially when they post about the poll in question every day.
