In the position she was in she'd have to phase through Wolverine's claws... Adamantium is so dense that it is very hard for her to phase through, and doing so causes her tremendous amounts of pain. She probably could ghost at the last minute if she needed too but I imagine having those claws go through her brain even while ghosted is the last thing she wants.

*She once ghosted through Sabertooth's body after he'd been upgraded with an Adamantium Skeleton... it was so painful she couldn't use her power for at least a couple hours (possibly days) afterword.
