Man from Uncle secret! OMG - all the love ever!
What I loved most about it was that all the women were clearly DIFFERENT people - nothing "generic girl of the week" about it.
Sure, hell of a lot of 60s sexism (woah, the male gaze of the camera lovingly centering on the female agents' behinds as they went about office work)but also a lot of charm - it did show the non-extra characters as individual people rather than only "the woman". It was also fun to contrast the different approaches the men had to women, Napoleon being "give me aaaal the boobs!" and Illya being "... I am working. Feck off") but also showing a wide variety of reactions to that - it wasn't just that the GUYS had a type, but that the WOMEN were shown to have types, and to go after them, too.

OP

Man from UNCLE is love! :D

Yes, this, a thousand times this! Your comment pretty much sums up my feelings 100%. Is it sad that contemporary TV seems lacking in that respect?

That was my thought as well. The show was far from perfect in how it showed it's female characters but the guest characters were usually well written and had layers - or at least as much as you can do when a character appears in one episode. And I did like that some of the women went after Napoleon and some went after Illya.
