Oh lawd do they ever. NRaas has the classic Woohooer, which is what I use; aside from allowing incestuous/teen relationships, you can also set pregnancy odds, jealousy levels, stuff like that. I wanna say InSimenator is a lot like that, but I haven't used it in years and idk if there's even a TS3 version.

+1 on the big houses. I have Freeplay, so I am a kind and loving Sims-owner and only make them move out of town.

If you enjoy building houses and killing your Sims, I would highly recommend playing Sims Survivor.

HERE'S HOW TO PLAY:

-Make a bunch of awesome houses.
-Set aside one lot with poor amenities. Surround it with a mote. Install neither phones nor smoke detectors.
-Place a bunch of Sims on the crap lot. Let them do as they please. Do not restock the fridge. Do not clean anything. One by one, they will die.
-Take the winner and place her or him in one of the awesome houses.
-Repeat until you've filled the neighborhood. Then, breed the next generation of contestants.

This will a bit more difficult with Sims 3 as they can swim without a pool ladder and the fridge does not need restocking (snack food items are free and unlimited). They will probably all die of fire.

I'm still on TS2 and getting ACR really upped the drama factor for my legacies, so I totally get the appeal. The Sims is the one game franchise I've stuck to for over a decade.

Likewise, still on TS2. I actually lost my University disk, so I'm stuck waiting for the one I ordered online to get here because I don't want to play without all the extra careers, amenities, life stages, forum challenges...

I never got Freetime or Apartment Life because they stopped making the EPs for Macs once TS3 came out. And man, am I a sucker for EPs. University is definitely a good one to have.

I am fairly certain that this happens to everyone who plays sims. Except for the incest part, probably. I mean, I never made my sims incestuous. I did make them bang a lot though. But then I always got the need to make the sims who had been banging into this happy little family unit and stuff.

haha, I feel like the only Simmer (is that a word?) who just builds houses and makes families/couples/people/groups of roommates live their lives. It's a big experiment to see what happens and how the genetic and social material I created mixes and re-forms and what happens that's not what I expected. (Of course, this could be in part the bio nerd speaking.)

The last time I really got into the Sims, I was planning to download the mind control ray from the store, and have one of my sims get the 'No Jealousy' perk and proceed to brainwash every girl she knew into her adoring mind-controlled harem. I then learned that the No Jealousy perk had been broken by the reputation system so polyamory, harems, and so forth were far more trouble than they were worth. That turned me off from the game again.

Yeah, I'm a perv. (Doubly so -- in a game about perfectly controlling people, I wanted a character to perfectly control people...)

When I first got Sims 3, I went through a phase where I would either pick or create a young adult male and have his goal be to get most of the neighbourhood's adult female population pregnant at least once. One time one of the women he had like three kids with went crazy and packed up and left, so I moved the kids in with a cheat and it accidentally became something of a touching story about him learning to be a dad.

I mostly play romance in The Sims.

I became a shipper of Mort/Bella because of it, I made huge leaps on the story of my "Riftverse" OCs (like Oraania in my icon) after making sims of them, and a lot of story progress for them was pushed by The Sims.

I am waiting for S4 to come out with the hope I can properly play again, as S3 crashes within 10 minutes of starting, and that is nowhere near enough time to do anything.

Oh, my poor sims go through many horrors and it's hilarious (best of all they bring it on themselves most of the time and I just watch with baffled hilarity)
