My lecturer who never praises anyone for fear of showing favouritism wrote 'Good!' on one of my essays last week. Minor thing, but his style is so strict, the smallest praise is something to swell with pride over.

I was called cute several times from the same guy.

Once because I have no ability to be an responsible adult* but the other times it was just a general thing...

*It took me five hours to make dinner and it was soup, which takes like 15 minutes to make.

what is with everyone calling me cute lately? and as usual not a complaint, just confused

One of my illustration profs who has high standards commended me on my final project for the finesse. I did paint 5 small panels which each took 7 hours to paint, and I was so happy when he said that. ;_____;

I wasn't trying to be. I was just trying to make him laugh. Nothing like being a grown woman and having your cheeks pinched by a kindergartner.

I joined in on an informal rp chat the other night and was really nervous because I hadn't attempted any such thing in years and it quickly became apparent that everyone else in the room at the time knew each other. Then I got super nervous when the girl who was hosting asked ooc who I was in a way that suggested she expected me to be someone from the same circle. Everyone was really nice and welcoming when I admitted I was just a random person who wandered in, though, and I got called awesome and rad several times. Small thing, but it pretty much made my day :)

I've had my hair complimented twice in the last few weeks, so that was nice (and surprising). Maybe that.

I don't know if he was speaking to me. I wouldn't marry him. But that's the only proposal I've ever gotten.

When I was at a con this weekend, I was walking back from parking and passed some guys going the other direction. One of them widened his eyes at me and in that awkwardly blunt way that we geeks often have, as we passed each other, remarked "Uh, hi, you're rather attractive."

I dunno, it was just really cute. XD If kind of baffling, because I was NOT in the Star Trek mirrorverse uniform yet - just a boys' Space Invaders hoodie and a floor-length full skirt. Given some of my interactions in the past week, I suspect it may be that being a redhead just really suits me.

I have to wear a silk scarf as part of my uniform for work and I tend to tie mine with a bow to my right hand side. A customer told me the other day that she thought it made me look "really beautiful" tied like that.
