My mom's birthday

So today would be my mom's 59th but she died in December two years ago. It's definitely one of those days that's hard to take, just imagining how things could've been. And, come to think of it, my grandma died day before yesterday (which I'm taking okay because my granddad died a few months ago and I know she loved him a lot and it was probably hard for her to be without him). I actually have a final project I'm doing for one of my classes, so I've been conscientiously trying to keep my mind off of it. Earlier, though, I saw a cardinal while I was driving and it was hard for me to talk for a while because I just really wanted to cry. For reasons I'm not really going to go into, cardinals are like my "sign" of mom.

You know, I've actually been doing a lot better in terms of grief. I went through some bad stuff earlier this month. I tend to obsess over death and my siblings' health and safety since my mom died but I managed to control that earlier this month. I feel like I wish I could talk to her today but I also don't want to get upset when I'm supposed to finish this thing I'm doing and I'm trying to focus. So I decided to vent everything here.

TL;DR- can you wish my mom a happy birthday?
