Don't know where you're located, but banana ice cream flavors are around in the US. I think it's one of those flavors that used to be more popular, so it's usually brands or stores that are either older, with a large variety of flavors, or ones going the old-fashioned/homemade route. Usually they do have a chocolate component! I've seen banana fudge and banana split (which also adds stuff like cherry bits and nuts).

I don't know why but I don't tend to see them. Granted, I don't look for ice cream often either, but it's one of those things I didn't realize was widely available. Maybe I should look harder and more often...

Now I really want ice cream.
