I always saw Neville as being more like Remus, except he never got as close to the trio until later in the books, and he was, like Peter, a bit slower.

I just think comparisons are bad. Because I think the members of the Trio were equally close in a way the Marauders never were. In a way you could say that Ron, Harry, and Hermione were all three James and Sirius. Neville, Ginny, and Luna were maybe like Remus in the sense that they were close friends with them but not quite as close.

But really, the comparisons just don't work. There aren't direct comparisons. I wouldn't say Harry is James at all. He's a combination of both of his parents. So there really isn't even anywhere to start with for comparison.
