The problem with fandom these days is that it's not just "serious stuff in their own corner." I can't just follow someone on tumblr because I like their fic and want to talk meta without also getting subjected to all of their stupid opinions about gender-neutral pronouns and getting bitched out if I forget to refer to them as "pupself."

(Obviously I'm exaggerating, kind of, but still. I actually enjoy SJ discussions and sometimes I enjoy having them about fandom things... but if I wanted SJ then that's what I'd be out looking for and I sure as hell wouldn't be looking on Tumblr.)

The cutesy make your own pronoun thing has nothing to do with social justice and everything to do with people being idiots. I recommend you follow different blogs.
