I was going to say something polite like "different people have different tastes, and I didn't like Firefly, but I didn't shit all over you", but you said it better.

If you can't distinguish between criticizing a show for its writing and delivery, and "shitting on" you as a person, you should probably rethink things. I'm a trekkie, and a majority of work in that setting is shit. That's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of craft. Those of us who are grownups can recognize that something just isn't that good and move on.

What you're missing is that as a science-fiction mystery series, Almost Human should have been "my taste." It wasn't because 8 of the 9 episodes I watched failed to deliver all that much in the way of science fiction or mystery. Almost Human had 13 episodes to develop its premise. It failed to do so.
