Same here. Even though I had a sneaking suspicion it wouldn't be renewed, given that Fox had been gunning for it from the start (showing episodes out of order), and the whispers that the budget for each episode was higher than another show on the cusp, "The Mindy Project".

I'm going off to cry in my corner over here.. and fight off "fan continuation" plot bunnies.

:( I didn't hear about the budget, but I guess it helps explain a few things. Not sure how much Ealy or Urban were working for, but considering the budget and the ratings I guess it was enough to kill any chance of continuation.

It deserved a damn chance, FOX!

Write your fanfic! God, I don't want this fandom to go the way of Common Law and have almost no fanfic after the show ends. I'm sure it will, but...dnw.
