I thought that scene was creepy. Sorry, but if you can see through clothes, you need to not look at people. Looking at people's underwear when they don't know and haven't told you you could is creepy. Yes this scene played off the idea as romantic. Ick.

But then again, I'm in the minority that doesn't love these movies. Margot just is too meek to be Lois for me, and while Christopher does a great job I can't get into the idea of Superman as the real man and Clark as the mask. I've always viewed it as the opposite.

Dude, what? How the fuck is that remotely fair? I'M GOING TO GIVE UP MY ENTIRE SOCIAL LIFE BECAUSE I CAN SEE THROUGH PEOPLE'S CLOTHES IF I WANT. Yeah right. What is wrong with you?

Also, um, he doesn't automatically see through clothes. If he did, he wouldn't be able to see anything. She asked him to tell him what color her underwear was. He said he couldn't because she was standing behind a lead fence and he can't see through lead. Then, when she moved away, he looked and went "Oh! Pink!" and then realized he shouldn't have done that and he was embarrassed and for a moment he was Clark-ish-ly dorky and it was adorable. Then he never looked through her clothes again.

You are weird and paranoid and need to take a chill pill.

Actually, he isn't ever embarrassed at being able to tell. She asked as a serious question, he told her. It was meant to be a flirty scene (although I thought it was uncharacteristic).

Jesus, that was one of the cutest scenes in any Superman film. She INVITED him to look when she asked him what color her underwear was. Then she steps away from the planter, already writing down that he can't see through lead and he suddenly says "pink" and then cutely says "I'm sorry, now I've embarrassed you" off her abashed look. It's called BANTER. They were bantering, and she was as much into him as he was into her. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE INSIST ON PAINTING EVERYTHING AS CREEPY because he has
an advantage over her with his abilities?

I never liked Dean Cain's version and an entire decade of comics for the exact opposite reason. Superman/Kal-El is real to me, a lot of what Clark deliberately chooses to be, is the mask.

I just disagree about Margot Kidder being a poor Lois Lane. She's the best Lois Lane, hands down.

Yes she really is, although the woman who played her in the 60s telly series was pretty good.
I just love how feisty Margot Kidder is. It's a bit depressing that Amy Adams is much less ballsy and kick arse in the recent film.
