I just want more Fire Emblem to play, period....but I've only ever played Awakening so I also wouldn't say no to being able to play as Lucina. *ahem*

Any suggestions on what other games in the series are worth a look? (The only other one I can think of on the DS was Shadow Dragon, and I last saw that going for something like £40 second-hand...)

Sacred Stones (OP's image) is a great place to start after Awakening. Awakening's the easiest in the series, and Sacred Stones is a definite step up, but not so much that you'll feel out of your depth as a newcomer. It's also less popular than the one just called "Fire Emblem", so less pricey.
Also super easy to emulate, if you're into that. It's for GBA.
