man, i didn't realize it but supernatural is actually super freaking old. it'll be ten years old when its final episode airs next year.

Yeah, it blew my mind too.

Next year, a kid who was in sixth grade when Supernatural started can legally drink.

I wonder if this is the longest running supernatural/horror genre show in TV history.

it beats buffy and true blood. idk if you'd consider smallville supernatural, but it lasted ten years as well.

I started having those kind of moments when I realized that most of the kids I go to school with are younger than The Simpsons. (TBF, I'm actually exactly as old as the show, possibly a month or so younger. But I can't remember when I didn't watch it and it was so much a part of my childhood that it didn't click that it was getting "old". 25 is different in TV years.)

I don't have any experience with mental health facility like that and I was like, 21 or something when I watched it and it still freaked me out, so I think it's totally understandable. It was a spooky ep!

Hey, just a heads up OP, there's another episode in season 5 (5.11, "Sam, Interrupted") that also takes place inside of a mental hospital, though this one is fully functioning. If you think this is something that might upset you then you might want to skip over it - as far as I remember it was a MotW episode.

No, that episode was seriously fucked up. I had to go to my happy place just watching it.
