So this is weird but I was looking at an old post earlier and an anon mentioned this book and that they'd like to read it again but didn't know what it was.

I have no idea if that anon will see this or not but just in case you do, the book is The Fourth Procedure by Stanley Pottinger. :)

Very important question before I look any further into this: Is the right-wing politician male or female?

Male, and the surgeon is female. The politician is strongly anti-choice.
