There WAS a news story about a German woman who jumped into a cage at a zoo or something, but I think it was actually in Germany. I wonder if that's where it came from, though? Or was it too recent? (I want to say it happened in 2010ish? Maybe 2011?)

I haven't heard that one. I'm thinking Banff and Jasper National Parks in Alberta, Canada. And while it is a fact that many tourists get way too close to the wildlife (I've seen it myself, every occasion when I've visited), I do wonder is it actually German tourists? Does everyone just assume it's German tourists? Or do we just get a higher number of German tourists?

Anyway, people of all countries: it's wildlife. WILD. Don't get close to it, and don't try to pose your kids next to it. (Or don't complain when you get kicked in the head.)
