It's about carnivorous plants (especially sarracenias--New World pitcher plants) and the Southeastern Coastal Plain wetlands that harbor them. The sheer number of different ecosystems in the Coastal Plain is just amazing to me (especially because here in the Midwest we wiped out something like 99.9 percent of our prairies and replaced them with corn and soybeans). I'm ashamed to say I didn't know a damn thing about even the commonest of them (longleaf pine savanna), so writing this paper is going to be a big scary job. And it's due Wednesday. Yet here I am at F!S. This place is my worst vice right now...
