This is what bothers me about them. I disagree entirely with the OP, but this bit? Obnoxious. Prior to the reveal, they had never even interacted on-screen.

It felt as if they were each meant to be the other's consolation price.

According to RTD, had Freema and Noel been in the Torchwood S3 mini-series Children of Earth like was originally planned, he would have laid the foundation for the characters to get together like they had in End of Time. But they both dropped out of the project for other roles, thus why their scene in End of Time looks so sudden and forced.

I'm glad to hear that there had been plans to properly develop them. However, given that both actors did drop out, I think it would have been better (and made more sense in the existing canon) for the relationship to be scrapped altogether.

DA

Maybe RTD thought explaining it in the interviews or behind-the-scenes would suffice.

Well he thought wrong.

BUNNY!

I'm sorry, what were you saying?

This guy is such a talentless hack. Thanks god that he's irrelevant nowadays.

Aww isn't that precious. Fandomsecrets' one, lonely little Moffat stan. *pets head*

Are you 5 or just a butthurt RTD stan? This isn't a 'love one hate the other' thing, you know? You can like or dislike both. I dislike both.

RTD had wonderful memorable characters. Moffat is a sexist, racist, homophobic asshole who deserves to get raped and die in the worst way imaginable.

What the fuck?

I don't care for Moffat either, but there is something seriously wrong with you if want someone to get raped for bad writing.

Some years ago I was hanging out at a bar with my girlfriend when Moffat walked up and slapped my gf ass. Then suddenly RTD arrived, made Moffat stop and apologize, and then left. He's such a great guy, I will never forget it.

You've got some issues.
