I cannot comment on the rest since I know nothing about My Little Pony stuff, but your title encapsulates an obvious truth that too many seem to forget, no matter how often it's demonstrated.

Yes, Wolverine was Claremont's favorite character (and thinly disguised Gary Stu) and he and subsequent X-Men writers have been touting him as the main hero of the X-Men (and the whole Marvel universe, seems like), as well as simultaneously making Cyclops into a less and less likeable character in order to make Logan shine, but that doesn't change the fact that Wolverine is a jerk.

Also, he always gets the girl, regardless of her age and her relationship status. Like we are supposed to think he's God's gift to women.

Rather disgusting but admittedly understandable since Wolverine is clearly the TPB's stand-in and most of those guys are not exactly the most politically correct when it comes to women, are they?
