I dunno, OP. I've stuck with many a show past its prime, and it's not fun watching it drag out a slow death. It's rare that it gets better after a shitty season. Usually it just gets shittier and shittier until it's cancelled.

The only exception to the rule that I can think of off the top of my head is The West Wing. Season Five was horrible. Six was better, and Seven was amazing.

Community got better after the gas-leak season. But it's no secret why that happened.

Uh uh. I've some shows get worse and then better. Friday Night Lights. Scrubs. Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Buffy got worse in season four and better in season five IMO, but from six on it was all downhill.
