I guess maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I love that design.

Hell I like most of the redesigns, I guess I just don't feel like my childhood is being ruined or something because they changed them? (I find one or two of them iffy, but for the most part I think they're nice.)

Pretty much. I don't think Disney needs to mess with its classics, but there's a new merchandising look for the princesses every couple of years anyway. This one will run its course and the originals will always be there.

It's funny because as a kid, I distinctly remember being very unimpressed by Cinderella's ballgown. Kid!me had a sort of "... that's it?" reaction to it, because my thoughts were that if you were going to get a magical dress to go to a ball and meet your prince, shouldn't it be something a little more interesting than that? It just looked so very PLAIN to me aside from the fact that it sparkled.

I think this one looks a lot more princess-y.
