I'm getting Alpha Sapphire, my brother's getting Omega Ruby. Anyone else know which ones they're getting yet?

I had Ruby growing up, and with remakes I usually get the opposite, but Alpha Sapphire sounds so strange to me...if my favorite pokemon are still version exclusives (Zangoose - Solrock/Serviper - Lunatone), I'd probably just stick with Ruby.

Both! Always get both on the first day, much cheaper and I know I'm going to want one for post-game play, the other for Nuzlocke and other similar challenges later.

Omega Ruby. I played Ruby as a kid and I really like the way they did the sun thing. It was kinda creepy.

I'll probably eventually end up with both, but I'm going to start with Alpha Sapphire because Sapphire's the one I still have from back in the day. Seriously, I have well over a dozen Pokemon on my X game that came from the game I started on Sapphire in 2004.

I woke up at one am with a fever but I forgot it for all of thirty minutes when I saw the news. I'm so excited! RSE is actually the one gen I haven't played, I've played all the others, so I'm super excited to figure out the hype. And I know lots of people have been wanting this for ages, so good on them.

In other news, I am highly amused by the fact that the video basically just shows the cover art. Like, how can we have maximum hype with minimum effort? Oh, I know! Slap Kyogre and Groudon onto a box art design and watch things explode.

I have no idea why, but when I heard this I was just "meh". I didn't hate Hoenn or anything, but just knowing they are being remade just doesn't grab me at the moment. Perhaps I'm in a burnout from Pokemon X.

If you're referring to the story then I see what you're saying, but I liked a lot of the gameplay changes of X and Y: The fairy types, the actual 3d battles, the ease at which you could rearrange EVs, mega evolutions, and a few others I probably can't think of.

I'm so full of happy about this! I'm totally picking Torchic as my starter again, and I'm gonna have an Altaria and a Delcatty and make a kick-ass secret base and win all the contests and be awesome forever!

I will be so mad if Contests don't come back. Those were my absolute FAVORITE thing in Gen 3.
