There's no gay in the show. The couple gay characters that exist over the course of the show usually end up sidelined.

Could you elaborate on this? I've been pretty happy with how the queer characters have been handled.

This! "Oh we're in a universe where being gay is totally cool and accepted and therefore we'll never talk about or feature our canon gay people because to these characters its not important!"

The cast and crew is very biphobic, as they've shown over and over again at cons, and how they turn it into a running joke.
