Titling fic collections

(Anonymous) 2014-05-08 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
So, I want to move some old drabbles of mine onto FFN, and I want to dump them all into one collection rather than make each a separate fic. I just don't know what to call it yet.

How do you title your collections, f!s? Are titles important to you at all?

I did this with a series of SG-1 shortfics. When I realized they mostly all had a common theme (in my case dealing with memories or being straight prequels) I based the title around that. And I do find titles important. They're the very first thing readers see after all.

Also, unless you're really well known, I wouldn't recommend doing this if you actually want people to read your work. Hardly anybody read my anthology, but when I broke the stories out individually, I got way more hits.
