As the header says, what stupid little things are you happy about, F!S?

I painted my nails last night for the first time in ages. I used to do it abbout once a month, but stopped for a long time because of a bunch of art projects that weren't compatible with even a halfassed manicure. I forgot how satisfying it is to have just a little burst of color on me. They're done up in Sinful Colors' "mint apple," which is far too blue a green to be either minty or apple-y. I'd say it's closer to sage than either, just because it's got that little bit of a grayish note to it, but it's still more ocean-y than anything else. And it's pretty.

Aww, liking the way nail polish looks on you is not stupid! Or if it is I'm right there with you.

Speaking of nail polish, I picked up two Zoya's yesterday on clearance. I'm kind of happy about that!

I also bought some elf cosmetics online and am getting a free gift with it so while the waiting is frustrating, I'm excited to see what free stuff I got.

(My toe isn't hurting right now? That's nice too, lol.)

Oh, and mint polish is delicious. Not in the 'I've tasted this and it is delicious' way, but in the 'wow, pretty' way.

I just started reading Loki: Agent of Asgard and, as one of maybe three people who kinda shipped Loki/David in Young Avengers, I am stupidly happy about the second issue mentioning Loki's failure to get a kiss from David on New Year's.

And thanks again for finding it! I don't think this is a silly thing to be happy about either. Loki could be genuinely upset that David doesn't dig him, what do we know? People have shipped pairings for less! It's a cute reference, anyway.

My nail polish always makes me happy too. Yours sounds really pretty. I have sparkly purple polish on right now but I need to change them for this weekend since they're chipping. Haven't decided what I want to use next.

I'm happy because I get to bake brownies.

I put henna on my nails a while ago and had several minor disasters in the process involving staining my beautiful butterfly rug :( But my nails have cleaned up beautifully and they look really great. I had been neglecting using henna for a while because I just kept forgetting, but you're right about that satisfying feeling of having colour on your nails.

I posted a persuasive argument about an aspect of canon in a fandom I'm pretty new to, and an oldbie agreed with me. :D I don't feel stupid!

Lemon/ginger.

Like, it seems to agree with my digestive system better than most stuff, so I'd been eating lemon frosting on ginger cookies, with a little more ginger sprinkled on them... or if the nausea's bad enough I just need to get calories down without having anything in my mouth too long, spoonfuls of the lemon frosting with ginger on it.

And there was this awesome fizzy ginger lemonade I found awhile back, but the only place in town that had it is really pricey. I found out last week that the same folks also make a lemon/ginger/echinacea drink which is mostly ginger tea with lemon juice, and was like !!!!! So last weekend I shopped around and turns out the same store that carries the ginger lemonade also carries that, so I picked some up... It's pricey too, and I have yet to actually try it because I'm trying to finish off some open juice containers before I open another one, but it's there in the door of the fridge waiting for me... :D

I've had super long hair for the past few years and for as long as I can remember, I've been growing it out. Today, I got it cut in a really super-short, punky style. It's a little bit 'middle-aged lady circa 1987' but I'm really excited to have such a drastic change in my style and I think it'll be fun and cute!
