my teenage self was embarrassing in general, but in this particular case it was because I was a very serious fangirl and used to meta-analyze every scene he was in for clues as to his deep inner character

Don't be ashamed, I used to have such a crush on Sasuke Ushiha back when I was young - and stupid - enough to think Naruto had ~deep~ characters...

I still meta-analyze every scene my fave characters are in as deeper insights into them.

I also flashbacked a "hey kaiba u luk good" too, except I never crushed on him. Curse you, cute screenshot manipulating my memories!

(also, Kaiba has a very nice voice, not as nice as Yami's but I still like it)

I think Kaiba and Brock only shared a voice actor in the English dub, not the original Japanese.

ooh, ok. Yeah, I mean I knew that, but for some reason I thought they were talking about the dub.

I tend to forget that some people only watched YGO in the sub because only 3 seasons got a legit sub and the other two seasons had terrible fansubs. For me at least that would take me right out of it.

I also don't think T&B has a dub version?

(also, fwiw, Golden Umi did really good softsubs for the whole series, but I don't think any of the eps are up on their site anymore.)

T&B got dubbed and aired on Viz's anime channel, iirc.

Yes, it was streamed, but ANN lists no English voice cast.

Well that's weird. It definitely got dubbed, I have the BDs and everything. It's kind of disappointing because it had the potential to be better than the original, like (arguably) Baccano, seeing as they're meant to be speaking English, but it's pretty average.

What show is the pink-haired character from?

Tiger and Bunny. He's a superhero called Fire Emblem (real name Nathan Seymour).

But Nathan is pretty sexy, especially when he gets serious, so why does it freak you out so bad?

Cognitive dissonance or something? Nathan is pretty much Kaiba's opposite in every way, so when I see Nathan and hear Kaiba it just ... it does not compute.
