i had a pixie for a while, and i liked it. but you have to get your hair cut often if you want to keep it, and when it grows back it looks awful.

also, if you can rock a bob, go for it. i can't because my hair is too curly, and i wish i could.

1. What's your face shape

2. How thick is your hair/what texture is it? Do you have reference pictures for what *exactly* you want it to look like?

3. Are you willing to do the upkeep for those hair styles? In my experience, bobs need a little bit more of a specialized upkeep than pixie cuts, which you can trim as you need in your house, either with scissors, or one of those vacuum hair cutters.

If you're just planning on growing your hair out again, I'd vote bob, but if you're going to be maintaining it short, I'd vote pixie.

One of the things I'd be slightly concerned about, if you're hair is on the thinner side, would be how well it holds the shaping of a bob, so I'd definitely bring that up with your hairdresser, as they know more than me, and they'll have you there in person.

IT DEPENDS ON YOUR HEAD

Also, how often do you want to get your hair cut? Bob is easier to deal with if you can't afford to go back to the barber right away, in that it will grow out more or less in the same shape; pixie will mulletize rapidly after a couple of months

I think it depends on your facial structure. I think pixie cuts looks better if you have a thinner face, and bobs look better if you have a rounder face.

Probably true! But I have a pretty round face, and I love my pixie cuts when I have them. The problem is maintenance -- they grow out sloppy.

Yeah, I think it's whatever makes you happy in the end. I've always kind of wanted a pixie, but my face is so goddamn long, I'm afraid I'd look like a dude.

If you get a bob and don't like it you can't always go shorter. But a pixie cut takes a long time to grow out. (It's a lot of upkeep too)

As others have said, it depends on a lot of factors. If we're just going by which is cutest...I love pixie cuts, omg, they are adorable. Bobs are nice on some people too though, so I'd ask your hairstylist what they think would work best with your features.
