They are so awesome and I will be completely devastated if they go extinct. I've got a fondness for alk of the big cats, but cheetahs are so near and dear to my heart.

I hold pretty much the same opinion. It's hard not to be amazed by them and it's harder not to be saddened when I hear about how likely it is they will go extinct.

Hmmn, it's a hard question because it seems to go in cycles but...
