There have been a few baby-zillas. Was this the 90s Broderick Godzilla? I think it was the hermaphrodite one. I know one of the Toho incarnations was a Mama-Zilla protecting her egg from Giant Praying Mantises.

I... don't really remember. I was a kid and there were a couple movies and a TV show. Only a few had it but yeah... sorry!

Showa era (before 1984):
Son of Godzilla was Godzilla adopting a baby kaiju that gets called Minya/Minilla/Minira. He never changed genders.

Godzilla's Revenge was the dreams of a young boy who makes friends with Minya and learns to stand up to his bullies.

Heisei era (1984-1995)
Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II, Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla and Godzilla vs Destroyah all feature Baby Godzilla/ Little Godzilla/ Godzilla Junior respectively. This creature does grow up to become another of Godzilla's species after Godzilla himself suffers a nuclear meltdown(thus completing Junior's mutation).

Millennium era (2000 onward)
Godzilla: Final Wars features a reappearance of Minya from the Showa era.

1998 Godzilla was asexual and basically cloned itself.


Godzilla is generally considered male. There's a goof with something called "Gigantis: The Fire Monster" where they call Godzilla "Gigantis" and say it's a female monster, but it really was another Godzilla movie and the dubbing was messed up.

I think 1998 Godzilla was a self-fertilizing hermaphrodite rather than asexual, but I suppose that's not really an important distinction in this case.
