Vienna Teng's music is some of my favorite, so lyrical and poetic...yet very few people seem to know who she is. Her songs are fuckin' poetry and she has a lovely voice

For writers, Elizabeth Goudge! To be fair to The World a lot of her works are out of print, so you might have a hard time getting them via used book stores and yard sales, but The Little White Horse (in my mind her best book!) and Linnets and Valerians are reprinted and it's a damn shame that more people don't know them. I think part of the problem is that the covers look like run-of-the-mill YA/childrens books, but they're from a time when children's books were damn well-written and aaaaah. They're just so deep and subtle and uplifting and give them all to me.

Vienna Teng's music is absolutely lovely. I keep trying to introduce people to her work, but no one's gotten into it yet.

What songs would you recommend I listen to? I am always looking for more music.

And I may have read The Little White Horse. I was really into horse books as a kid.

Songs? Well, 'Gravity' is kinda the entry drug!

I love Drought's lyrics. And if you like Supernatural imo it's like the ultimate Dean song.

For kind of the most atmospheric and eerie, 'Watershed' and 'Passage' and lovely and haunting in different ways.

Yay, Elizabeth Goudge! I love her adult books too - they're so far from modern existence, but so well-written.
