(Anonymous) 2007-11-24 01:23 am (UTC)(link)I'm thinking that the main character was a war photographer for WW3, an vent that changed and reshaped the world. He ended up taking many photos, but at one point, he gets into an "accident" in a battle, and is found nearly dead. Until someone finds him, and says he can save his life if he (in a wa) sells his soul to participate in an experiment. After the experiment, he gains some clarity, and doesn't want any part in it. He escapes, and he is declared a failure, is given the number Model 000.
Of course, this experiement wipes his memory, and he needs to find his photos to understand what happened that day, and maybe there is more to his accident then he thinks.
