Yay for Jarlaxle fans! He's the man... err... drow. I (not so) secretly want him to seduce me with his suave ways. I'd just prefer not to die afterward and all.

Jarlaxle really is all that <3 I wouldn't mind him seducing me either, oh no. Except he probably wouldn't want to given it wouldn't be much of a challenge on his part XD *throws self*

I'm really rather surprised there isn't a more active FG community on LJ. Two communities and not one for the best drow ever? For shame!

Well, yes... I suppose the not-a-challenge thing might turn him off. Though, I'm sure we could feign hard-to-get for at least a couple minutes. Oh, okay, maybe one minute. Twenty-five seconds at the very least.

As for the lack of a fandom on the net... It sucks! There are active boards for all things FR or WotC, but they're all general and consist of teenage boys that like to gut things or old men that like to discuss attack points or some such nonsense. There is virtually no fangirlish squeeing, and that is a damn shame. Mainly because I'm so good at squeeing and discussing how much I'd like Jarlaxle to commence with the sexin'. I kinda-sorta might like Entreri, what with all the bad boy angsting. Then I think of Jarlaxle, and get giddy thinking of how naughty he could be. Entreri's a little too wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am.

We need a 'Yummy Mercenaries and Assassins of Forgotten Realms' community on LJ.

Yes, perhaps a few seconds. But then again, perhaps we can flatter him lots and that will make up for the lack of self control XD

I'm rather surprised about it all, though I haven't delved too deeply into the FG world apart from reading the books and visiting places like Lavender Eyes and that sort of thing (I did read your Jarlaxle/Cattie-Brie fic though! :D).

If you've seen the Baldur's Gate series, in the second game Jarlaxle does make a brief appearance. There is an add on that allows you to seduce him. Or him seduce you. It works both ways :)

Even on LJ it isn't that active. I think there is one community for the FG 'verse and a newish one for ol' Artemis. Heck, even just a general fangirly FG community would be good. It doesn't have to just for Jarlaxle :D.

Should we set one up? :D

You can seduce/be seduced by Jarlaxle in Baldur's Gate? Holy crap. I bought that game for my brother a while back and gave it to him not knowing that I should have kept it. Dammit.

Haha - you found my little Jarlaxle fic. I read all the Drizzt books up to Passage of Dawn when I was younger. Earlier this year, I decided to go back and re-read all the old ones and delve into the news ones that had been released since then. I was completely in love with Drizzt back in the day and expected to rekindle my love for him when I started re-reading the books. Instead, I gravitated toward Jarlaxle and started drooling over him. I'm going to blame it on being "older and wiser." ;-)

We totally should set up a comm for fangirling over the FG characters we love. If you want to do it, I'll be happy to set the account up and pay for the space so we don't have to have evil!advertisements. Maybe if we set one up and look for some lovely people to participate, we can drum up some more fiction and discussion over the coolest guys around. I have so many character-crushes from the FR (supposedly, it under the WotC name now), and the fandom for all of it is pretty slim.
