Glad you're doing better, OP. I had a similar conversation with a therapist about dark reading material while I was depressed; they wanted me to put the book away but I refused. Where else was I going to find people dealing with scary ideas like me?

I'm glad you're doing better, OP. I imagine you have a pretty good idea of what you can and can't handle by now, so I say do whatever works for you.

I understand about identifying with Will. Not because of depression but because of neurological problems. While the first season was going on, I was going through a multitude of tests trying to diagnose what was causing me to have seizures. It worried me how much I started identifying with Will. And then there was Georgia Madchen and the whole bit where her mother was talking about how many doctors and tests they went through trying to help her and get a diagnosis. It was really the first time I got truly emotional watching a show.

I only finally got a diagnosis about a month and a half ago.

Uh, anyway...it doesn't sound stupid and I'm glad you've gotten better. :)

Another person adding that it's good to hear you're doing well, OP.

That second paragraph is chilling. It's not stupid; it's terrifying. Glad to hear things have improved.

Yeah... as someone who has gone through depression, I identified very strongly with Will.

I'm so glad you're feeling better now, OP. Keep fighting!

I don't identify with any of the characters (my problems are not their problems), but as another person who has been severely depressed, I find Hannibal extraordinarily resonant and I don't think it weird or dumb at all that you reacted strongly to it.
