Simplified version is that I finally realized after a few weeks that the reason why my fandom e-mail inbox has been much easier to clean out lately is because I'm mostly only able to come around here on the weekends. This came right on the heels of realizing I actually excited about finally landing a job interview and disappointed in having to drop a class I enjoyed.

I'm growing up. I don't think I like it. HALP.

What moment did you realize, oh shit you're the adult now/you're growing up/etc.?

When I started a job and i was introduced to other people by "Mr." and my last name. Till that moment that was my father's name. And with that I knew I was old.

This, pretty much, although in my case it was when people would respond to my work e-mails by addressing me as "Ms. ______"

okay serious answer i guess is when someone at worked asked me to take a crying little girl up to the service desk so we could wait for her mother and the girl grabbed my hand

but i didn't know what to say to her so it was like...half-adult??? i guess.

When I used every single page of my income tax return form. Investments, RRSP, overseas assets, the works. I've been doing my own taxes since I was 15, but this is the first time I felt like a grownup.

Every time I think "Aw, I wanna watch more Netflix but I gotta sleep" and then I actually do it, I feel old all over again. Also, doing my taxes.

As for me, I think it came with all the bill paying. I have my car loan, and my credit card statements, and my rent, and my electric bill, and my cable bill... one day, I was just like "damn. when did i start getting all this?"
