Good places to find a beta?

(Anonymous) 2014-05-10 01:21 am (UTC)(link)Be specific about what you're looking for in a beta. Everyone has a different idea of what it means.
Re: Good places to find a beta?
(Anonymous) 2014-05-10 04:41 am (UTC)(link)I've seen this advice on similar threads here before. Please keep in mind that not all writers beta, for many reasons. Getting a request out of the blue from a total stranger who wants you to invest time and effort reading their work and giving concrit when you have no way of knowing if they'll accept it graciously or throw a huge tantrum can be really awkward.
Try FFnet, where people actually have beta profiles and you can shop around.

On DW, if you type in beta in the search bar and filter for communities, I'm pretty sure we have a "find a beta" community you can post in, too. :)
